Barbara holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of South Florida as well as a B.S in Marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She began her professional career as a Public Relations/Special Events Coordinator with the SW FL Chapter of the March of Dimes in Ft. Myers where, under her direction, the chapter enjoyed a 500% increase in participation and funds raised.

Barbara then pursued a career in the insurance industry joining Allstate Insurance Company as an Agent after successfully passing the Property & Casualty and Life & Health state license exams. After four years in the Sears network location, Barbara opened her own Allstate office with her husband in Cape Coral, FL. While employed with Allstate, Barbara enrolled at the University of South Florida Ft. Myers campus to finish her Accounting degree.

After a successful career with Allstate, Barbara shifted her focus, dedicating several years to raising her two young children, Marisa and Alexander while her husband managed the Allstate office. After six years with her children, she returned to the workforce as a single mom. Barbara then joined MNS Financial Management specializing in personal financial planning combining her insurance and accounting background. While employed at MNS Financial, she passed the CPA exam in August, 2001. Barbara left MNS Financial Management in 2002 to start her own business offering Financial Planning, Tax Preparation & Insurance Reviews. Barbara also conducted seminars on Long-Term Care & Disability insurance.

In 2008, Barbara met Charles A. Massie, CPA. After discussing their backgrounds, they realized that they have similar beliefs and similar professional qualifications; they are CPAs who believe in offering Financial Planning services as an overall "Asset Protection Package" for their respective clients. Charles & Barbara joined forces and now offer tax preparation for individuals, small business/ estate & trusts, tax & financial planning, entity selection consultation, and insurance reviews.
